About the role
- Transports patients and materials throughout all hospital areas.
- Each transporter is responsible for their individual average transport time within the guidelines of network leadership and campus needs.
- Complies with regulations, safety and patient care protocols.
Responsibilities
- Maintains transport equipment and supplies.
- Maintains accurate documentation and completes accurate handoff with clinical staff.
- Maintains wheelchairs and stretchers appropriately. Sanitizes equipment following established protocols. Immediately reports any equipment malfunctions and removes the items from service.
Requirements
- Other / Certificate high school Coursework Required
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) - Certification Basic Life Support BLS training course C Upon Hire Required
- Current and Active BLS Certification Required
Nice to have
- Certification Basic Life Support BLS training course C Upon Hire Required
- High School Diploma or GED Preferred
