About the role
- FTI Consulting's Strategic Communications segment is looking for an enthusiastic self-starter to join its team in Washington, D.C., specializing in providing public affairs and communication services to companies within the industrials sector.
- Our clients represent a range of industries, including chemicals, manufacturing, infrastructure, agrifood, transportation, and aerospace and defense.
- Services encompass policy advocacy, issues and crisis communications, media relations, campaigns and reputation management.
Responsibilities
- manage the overall quality of work on multiple accounts by demonstrating professional and team leadership
- Deliver high-quality work focused on client needs
- Create client-ready deliverables in a timely and efficient manner
- Support billing procedures to ensure timely and accurate delivery of client invoices
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in communications / public relations, political science, international affairs, journalism or a related field
- 5+ years of relevant post-graduate professional experience in a communications agency, in-house corporate and/or state/federal/international government experience
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
- Ability to travel to FTI offices and client site(s) as needed
Nice to have
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 and AI/LLM tools
- Proven organizational, time and project management skills, and the ability to effectively juggle multiple client projects and relationships
- Experience supporting new business development and/or proposal writing
- Familiarity with issues in the industrials sector (e.g., chemicals, agrifood, manufacturing, aerospace and defense) or other highly regulated industries
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools (e.g., Factiva, Cision), social media (e.g., X, LinkedIn) and related analytics platforms (e.g., Brandwatch, Talkwalker)
- Familiarity with the Associated Press Stylebook
- Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced, team-first environment
- Minimum Pay: $102,000
Compensation
- Minimum Pay: $102,000
- Maximum Pay: $173,000
