About the role

- The candidate will typically work under the guidance of senior and/or mid-level engineers.
Responsibilities
- This candidate will have the opportunity to execute specific mechanical design tasks for various project types while working and coordinating with clients and design leads from all disciplines.
- Utilize Autodesk Revit to produce detailed design documents.
- Build an understanding and ability to develop hydronic & airflow flow diagrams.
- Be willing to take direction from senior and mid-level engineers and designers in order to execute delivery of specific design elements.
- Maintain excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Requirements
- Have experience with the use of Microsoft tools such as Word, Power Point, Excel, and Teams.
- Have the ability to travel when required to project sites (less than 10% travel).
- Experience using Revit in either an educational or professional context is a plus.
Nice to have
- 2 or 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or mechanical engineering technology preferred, HVAC construction experience with a drafting certification will be considered as well.
- Past internship, co-op, or work experience in a consulting engineering role is a plus.
- Experience working in the construction industry is a plus.
- Engineer-in-Training (EIT) is a plus.

Compensation
- Base Compensation: $45,000-$150,000 (Actual compensation is subject to variation due to factors such as education, experience, skills and/or location)
- Spouse and family insurance premiums are subsidized by SMC.
