About the role
- Thermal Works LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Full Stack Engineer to join our team, working directly with the Director of AI and Data Systems.
- You will be in a fast-paced environment, aiding and supporting the many other groups within ThermalWorks, such as Operations and R&D.
- The Full Stack Engineer needs to be agile, professional, trustworthy with confidential information, and comfortable in a rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and build end-to-end features spanning responsive front-end interfaces and back-end services
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs connecting client applications to databases and internal systems
- Model and manage relational and non-relational data stores, optimizing queries for performance
- Own features from concept through deployment, including UI, business logic, and data layers
- Write software design and software requirement documentation that coincides with application and technology development
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code following established standards and design patterns
- Implement authentication, authorization, and security best practices across the stack
- Manage application performance, scalability, and reliability in production
- Contribute to architectural planning and design, whether reviewing documentation or creating them
- Strong experience building and shipping web applications across the full stack
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Strong communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders
- Comfort working on multiple concurrent projects with varying priorities and stakeholders
