About the role
- This position involves assisting with equipment setup, sample collection, maintenance, and general site duties.
- The role requires physical strength, attention to safety, and the ability to work in remote, outdoor environments while contributing to efficient and accurate drilling operations.
Responsibilities
- Support sample collection, ensuring proper handling, labeling, and storage
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of drilling equipment
- Maintain a clean and safe worksite, following all safety protocols
- Help manage consumables such as bits, rods, and sample bags
Requirements
- Previous experience in drilling, mining, construction, or similar field is an asset
- Mix and manage drilling fluids when required
- Ability to perform physically demanding work (lifting 50+ lbs regularly)
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with tools and equipment
- Strong commitment to safety and attention to detail
- Ability to work long hours in outdoor and remote environments
- Team-oriented with good communication skills
- Safety certifications (First Aid/CPR, MSHA/OSHA, H2S) are advantageous
Nice to have
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Valid driver's license preferred (CDL a plus)
