Responsibilities

  • The Director of Career Services leads and executes all aspects of career development at the Friedman School, ensuring graduate students are fully prepared and supported in achieving their professional goals.
  • This role is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive strategy that addresses the career needs of all academic programs and degrees.
  • Driving Student Engagement: Design and deliver innovative programs, resources, and advising that actively engage students in career planning and job search strategies.
  • Team Management: Lead, train, and supervise team of career services professionals to provide exceptional student support.
  • Partnership Building: Cultivate relationships with alumni, employers, government agencies, and other organizations to expand internship and employment opportunities.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage budgets, facilities, technology planning, and long-term strategic initiatives in partnership with school leadership.
  • Creates overall program strategy and marketing plan for career services. Manages design and participates in the delivery and evaluation of programs, workshops and networking events on career exploration and development with staff.
  • Cultivates relationships and collaborates with faculty, university administrators, alumni and industry employers to provide targeted programming and messaging to students.
  • Oversees strategy to initiate corporate outreach and maintain relationships to increase internship and employment opportunities. Promotes Tufts graduates and represents the university to industry employers and other external constituents.
  • Manages production of web-based career services and events; evaluates use of new technology in the delivery of services to constituents.

Compensation

  • Minimum $98,400.00, Midpoint $123,000.00, Maximum $147,600.00
  • Salary is based on related experience, expertise, and internal equity
  • generally, new hires can expect pay between the minimum and midpoint of the range.
