Responsibilities
- Building the infrastructure for vulnerability scanning, dependency auditing, secrets management, and automated detection so security scales with the team
- As a senior security engineer, you'll own security across the stack and have significant influence over how we architect systems.
- you'll build security tooling and features, not just file tickets
- You'll write code, build tooling, and design systems while also shaping how the rest of the team thinks about security.
- You'll be the person who makes it easy to build things securely, not the person who slows everyone down.
Skills
- Backend: Python (Django/FastAPI), TypeScript (Node.js)
- Infrastructure: AWS, Modal, Kubernetes, Postgres
- Tooling: Terraform, Docker, CI/CD pipelines
- Have 4+ years of experience in security engineering, with a strong software engineering foundation
- Have secured production systems handling sensitive data and understand the difference between theoretical risks and real ones
- Think about security as an enabler, not a blocker: you make it easy for other engineers to do the right thing
- Are comfortable across application security, infrastructure security, and cloud security
