About the role
- Registered Nurse- Full time- Night Shift | Raleigh Oaks Behavioral Health | Garner, North Carolina About the Job: Schedule: 7pm-7:30am + working every other weekend on a rotation!
- The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing nursing care to patients.
- Supervising care treatment and services of patient care provided by LPNs, CNAs and other staff on assigned unit and shift.
Responsibilities
- Assesses and documents effects of PRN medications.
- Maintains accountability of administration, recording, control and security of medications, including narcotics.
Requirements
- Knowledge of and experience with psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
- Ability to apply nursing standards and practice within an acute psychiatric setting
- CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
- First aid may be required based on state or facility requirements.
- transcribes and reviews provider's orders ensuring all required elements are present and appropriate per policy and procedures.
Nice to have
- One or more years' nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
- Certified in Psychiatric Nursing preferred.

- Monitors patient acuity, census, staffing needs, and escalates coverage needs to supervisor/Charge RN.
