About the role

  • Join Caterpillar's Electric Power Division as a Manufacturing Engineer supporting the production of Caterpillar Switchgear.
  • Working alongside operations, quality, and engineering teams, you'll leverage manufacturing technology, data analytics, and automation solutions to improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational performance.

Responsibilities

  • Drive automation and digital manufacturing initiatives that improve safety, quality, productivity, and operational efficiency.
  • Lead process improvement projects focused on manufacturing throughput, equipment performance, and production velocity.
  • Design and optimize manufacturing processes, assembly lines, and automated systems to support business growth and operational excellence.
  • Utilize data analytics tools, including Power BI and Power Platform applications, to identify trends, measure performance, and support decision-making.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to solve complex manufacturing challenges and implement sustainable solutions.
  • Support automated equipment, controls, robotics, and emerging manufacturing technologies to enhance operational capabilities.
  • Manage manufacturing engineering projects from concept through implementation, including capital investments and process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain manufacturing standards, procedures, documentation, and technical specifications.
  • Support future-state manufacturing strategies through automation, standardization, and workforce cross-training initiatives.

  • Degree Requirement
  • Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering field OR equivalent manufacturing engineering experience.

Compensation

  • $97,530.00 - $146,290.00
  • Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
