Responsibilities

  • Define and own the overall web platform architecture, making key decisions around frontend frameworks, design patterns, performance strategy, and scalability
  • Actively participate in hands-on design and code reviews, prototyping critical systems and setting the standard for implementation quality
  • Drive the evolution of the core platform including rendering patterns (SSR/SSG/CSR), design implementation and micro-frontend architecture
  • Own technical debt decisions - identifying, prioritizing, and resolving systemic engineering issues
  • Architect and lead development of embedded web experiences including in-app webviews, iFrame -based integrations, embedded SDKs, and white-label platforms
  • Drive standardization of web components and design system integration for use across embedded contexts
  • Define and own the engineering quality framework - including testing strategy (unit, integration, e2e, visual regression), CI/CD pipelines, and release processes
  • Establish SLOs/SLAs for web platform reliability, performance, and availability; lead incident response and blameless post-mortems
  • Implement and iterate on engineering practices including code review standards, sprint rituals, and technical planning processes
  • Lead, mentor, and grow a team of senior engineers, tech leads, and engineering managers across web engineering disciplines

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3 years in a senior engineering leadership role (Director, Principal Engineer, or equivalent)
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in modern web technologies: TypeScript, React (or Vue/Angular), Node.js, GraphQL /REST, and browser platform APIs
  • Background checks are required for employment with insightsoftware, where permitted by country, state/province.

Skills

  • Proven track record designing and scaling production web architectures serving high-traffic, global audiences
  • Deep understanding of web performance optimization - Core Web Vitals, rendering strategies, bundle optimization, caching, and observability
  • Extensive experience with modern CI/CD practices, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps tooling
  • TypeScript, React (or Vue/Angular), Node.js, GraphQL /REST, and browser platform APIs
  • Experience in B2B SaaS delivery
  • Familiarity with WebAssembly
  • Leadership Attributes
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to translate complex engineering topics for business audiences
  • High standards for quality, paired with pragmatism about trade-offs in a fast-moving environment
  • The salary range in United States of America for this position is 184,000.00 to 231,000.00 USD Annual.
  • Your specific offer within this range will be determined by your skills, experience, and qualifications.
  • For sales roles, this range includes a commission target.
