About the role

  • This position provides technical expertise across the full project lifecycle, supporting sales, customers, contractors, and internal teams.
  • The Technical Specialist is not a start-up technician but serves as a high-level technical resource for complex, recurring, or critical issues related to LG equipment and controls.

Responsibilities

  • Estimating & Pre-Sales Support:
  • Assist the sales team with LG equipment design and selection during the estimating phase.
  • Procurement Support
  • Assist with and help ensure equipment orders are accurate, complete, and aligned with approved designs and customer expectations.
  • Support commissioning of controls in collaboration with the controls contractor, as needed.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to the sales team, customers, contractors, and building owners.

Requirements

  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as required while on job sites.
  • Coordinate with the sales team, which is responsible for obtaining post-start-up files from Service and transmitting them internally as required.
  • Attend LG-specific project meetings as a technical representative when required
  • The Required Profile
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field, or equivalent HVAC industry experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in commercial HVAC equipment application, technical support, or system design.
  • Experience with equipment selection, design review, and order accuracy for commercial projects.
  • Ability to walk job sites, climb stairs and ladders, and access rooftop or confined mechanical spaces as needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally.
