About the role
- Director of Accounting, you will be responsible for a variety of financial close and reporting activities, while also playing a role in overseeing our inventory tracking.
Responsibilities
- Perform monthly close activities, including preparing and recording journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Lead inventory accounting initiatives, including perpetual-to-general-ledger reconciliations, calculating Cost of Goods Sold (COGS), landed costs, and resolving standard cost variances.
- Support cross-functional initiatives by providing accounting insights, troubleshooting operational issues, and contributing to process improvements that optimize month-end close efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
- Familiarity with month-end close processes, account reconciliations, and journal entry preparation.
- Ability to work independently and stay organized in a fast paced environment
- You must be independently authorized to work in United States.
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience. Experience with inventory/cost accounting is preferred, but not necessary.
- Solid foundation in US GAAP accounting relevant to a hardware and software tech company.
- Excellent critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and timelines effectively.
