About the role
- Reaching above and below, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and bending.
- The employee must occasionally lift / carry / move up to 25 pounds.
- This position may require some travel for conferences, educational sessions, and other company events.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the project team in establishing comprehensive scopes of work incorporating operation standard
- Support constructability reviews
- Distribute documents without the support of an administrative assistant
- Participate in the development of cost estimates of assigned projects; from concept through construction phase documents.
- Begin building relationships with clients, design team members, and subcontractors
- Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

- Proficiency and efficiency in takeoff software
- Attend design progress meetings and client presentations, as required
Skills
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture or related field or equivalent construction experience
- Four (4) to ten (10) years' experience in estimating for commercial construction*
- Decision making, research and analytical problem solving skills*
- Knowledge of principles and practices of engineering and construction management, including safety, quality and sustainability standards*
- Time management with the ability to organize, assess and prioritize multiple tasks, projects, and demands, and to work independently*
- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and interact effectively at all levels within the organization*
- Presentation experience
- Experience estimating with a variety of building types
- MS Office
- Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint experience
- Plan reading experience*
- Quantity Take-off software experience (On Screen Take-off or Sketch-up preferred)
Compensation
- T he base salary (or hourly) range for this position is
