About the role
- The EHS Environmental Specialist is responsible for ensuring site compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations, as well as Haleon's internal environmental standards.
- The Environmental Specialist plays a critical role in protecting employees, the environment, and the company by maintaining compliance, promoting best practices, and supporting continuous improvement in environmental performance.
- Ensure site compliance with all federal, state, local, and company environmental regulations across air, water, soil, waste, and sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement programs to identify, assess, and control environmental risks and exposures.
- Manage environmental compliance processes, including regulatory reporting, compliance calendars, and hazardous waste handling and disposal.
- Partner with regulatory agencies and lead site inspections, audits, and compliance activities.
- Conduct and support incident investigations, root cause analysis, risk assessments, and corrective actions.
- Establish and maintain EHS policies, procedures, KPIs, and training programs aligned with company strategy.
- Monitor EHS performance, identify trends, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support change management by reviewing projects and new processes for EHS risks and ensuring safe implementation.
- Collaborate with global teams to share best practices and strengthen overall EHS performance.

Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Sciences, and/or Occupational Safety (or other related specialization)
- Experience in managing EHS risks in the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Pharmaceutical or related high-hazard sector.

- Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
- Registered Environmental Manager (REM)
- This position requires knowledge of Safety and Environmental requirements and regulations.
- At least 4 years' experience in the Environmental Field.
- Knowledge in the use of Environmental tracking databases.
