About the role

  • Job Description Summary GE Vernova seeks to recruit a Managing Counsel for our Wind segment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead legal & compliance strategy and direction for the Wind segment in conjunction other internal Counsels and in close coordination with the Wind segment Global Legal & Compliance team
  • Manage and mitigate legal risks associated with large-scale projects, including negotiation, drafting, execution, interpretation and review of complex agreements.
  • Support segment litigation, arbitration, mediation and dispute resolution.
  • Manage outside counsel and associated spend.
  • Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the business objectives of the Wind segment.
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including finance, sales, sourcing, projects and operations. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, solution-oriented thinking, and high ethical standards within the Wind segment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Admitted to practice law in at least one US state with 8+ years as a practicing attorney
  • Extensive experience in complex commercial transactions and large-scale project contracts.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide senior-level legal advice and counsel to executive leadership.
  • This role requires broad legal expertise with a background in large-scale project management, complex commercial transactions, and a proven ability to provide senior-level counsel and advisory.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Nice to have

  • Strong understanding of Wind industry and regulatory landscapes Experience with EPC projects.
  • Background in a project-oriented, industrial company Knowledge of US federal and state regulatory frameworks.

Compensation

  • No #LI-Remote - This is a remote position For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $176,300.00 and $293,800.00.
  • The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
  • The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
