About the role

  • With headquarters in Laramie, Wyoming and a pilot system underway near Rock River, we're assembling a team to help bring this breakthrough technology to global scale.
  • Demonstrated vehicle-level and systems-level knowledge to confidently execute to plan but also fill in the gaps or solve complex issues in real time.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop electrical control systems for novel, lightweight wind turbine technology
  • Develop and maintain C/C++ applications for real-time control, monitoring, and data acquisition, focusing on embedded systems
  • Collaborate with mechanical and electrical teams to integrate sensors, actuators, and power electronics
  • Develop test plans, conduct engineering tests on prototypes, and analyze data to validate performance
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative concepts and solutions
  • Oversee the fabrication, planning, and testing of prototypes to validate design concepts and ensure functionality and performance.
  • Work closely with manufacturing engineers to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost effective
  • Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, test reports, and engineering documentation

Requirements

  • Familiarity with Simulation Tools like MATLAB/Simulink or similar modeling software.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree 5+ years of related experience Demonstrated capability with
  • Experience with motor controllers, generator controls, and power electronics is highly relevant.
