About the role
- The Forklift Order Picker is responsible for effectively tracking, storing, picking, securing, and staging material/product in staging area.
- This individual will also have the responsibility of loading material/product onto trucks to be shipped to our customers.
Responsibilities
- Obtain and maintain good standing Tru Vue Forklift Operation License (Class I and II).
- Maintain forklift in safe operational condition daily and report deficiencies to supervisor.
- Perform cycle counts, 6S audits, order audits, and other inventory functions.
- Generate and document continuous improvement and elimination of waste suggestions in the established manner.
- Assist in development of work instructions, projects, and support other departments, as needed.
Requirements
- Three years work experience in manufacturing/warehouse/distribution environment required
- Two to three years forklift experience required
- Computer knowledge required
- Experience with an inventory software (i.e. WMS, AS400, Dataflo)
Nice to have
- Experience with storing and retrieval of product 20 plus feet high.
