Responsibilities

  • include developing scopes of work, overseeing service contracts and managing outside vendors to streamline service delivery across building categories including (but not limited to) roofing, fire suppression systems, elevators, HVAC, and pest control.
  • The position will also coordinate closely with the CMMS administrator and directors to optimize the department's preventive maintenance program and utilization of the CMMS system.
  • Regular, reliable and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others

Requirements

  • At least four years additional experience in facilities maintenance, facility operations, utilities or facility services procurement

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Facilities Management, or related field from an accredited institution of higher education, or equivalent work experience

Nice to have

  • Experience in vendor and contract management
  • Experience with FAMIS, UA's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • Experience with Workday
  • Strong understanding of campus operations and academic environments.
  • Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with CMMS software and space management tools.
  • Knowledge and use of a CMMS/Work Order Management system, mobile technology
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office programs e.g., Email and spreadsheets

Compensation

  • $61,735 - $69,452; Commensurate with education and experience
