About the role
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Mechanical Designer with a strong background in HVAC system design for commercial and institutional projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating detailed mechanical designs, performing system calculations, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success from concept
- Design and develop HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and exhaust systems for buildings
Responsibilities
- Design and develop HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and exhaust systems for buildings
- Ensure designs comply with applicable codes (ASHRAE, IMC, NEC), standards, and project specifications
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure coordination and integration with other building systems
- Assist in the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and cost estimates
- Minimum of 5 years of HVAC design experience in a consulting or engineering firm
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively
Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and HVAC design software
- Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and best practices
Nice to have
- Experience with fire protection and plumbing systems
