About the role
- The Product Manager's role is to provide management of all projects, with a focus on data center infrastructure projects.
- The Product Manager directs all phases of projects from inception through completion and serves as the customer advocate to ensure on-time delivery within budgets.
- The Product Manager plays a proactive role in problem identification and resolution by highlighting these areas and assisting other departments in solving issues which affect project performance.
Responsibilities
- Aid the Proposal Department in developing solutions and pricing opportunities.
- Responsible for orchestrating the internal resources needed for project execution (i.e. Materials Management, Document Control, QA/QC, Fabrication, Engineering, and After Market)
- Develop requirements, division of responsibilities, and other key project definition submittals with the Customer.
- Responsible for preparation of scope related documents such as a Master Document Lists, Divisions of Responsibility, and project requirements.
- Implement a warranty kick-off meeting with the Aftermarket Department.
Requirements
- 5+ years of data center project experience
- 10+ years of construction management
- 10+ years of experience in Project Management with significant level of experience in a packaged equipment type of environment.
- Ability to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
Nice to have
- 5+ years of experience with internet technology companies is a plus
Skills
- Sound knowledge of business management principles, practices and procedures and strong negotiations skills
- Excellent communication, organizational and time management skill
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, and database usage.
- Familiarity with ANSI, ASME, API, and OSHA Standards
- Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited four-year engineering program
- P.C. or PE, or PMP license/certification would be a plus
