- The QA/Write-Up Inspector plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting operational workflow, and ensuring accurate and timely repair documentation for invoicing and customer reporting.
Requirements
- What you can expect:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in railcar repair, inspection, or administrative support preferred.
- Knowledge of AAR/FRA standards strongly preferred.
- Experience with billing, payroll entry, or repair documentation is beneficial.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
- Computer proficiency required.
- Experience with RailLink software preferred
- Some leadership experience preferred
- Must be able to traverse repair facilities, rail yards, and shop environments.
- Requires climbing ladders, bending, stooping, and working in elevated or confined spaces during inspections.
Skills
- Knowledge of AAR/FRA regulatory requirements and railcar repair standards.
- Ability to identify railcar components, valves, fittings, and materials.
- Proficiency with basic office equipment and computer systems.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
- Ability to support accurate billing and repair documentation.
Compensation
- $70,000 - $76,100
