About the role
- Citizens Health is recruiting an MLT to work full-time in our laboratory.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Immunohematology, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
- Performs and records routine instrument checks and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain a positive attitude with good energy.

- What you bring to the table: (Minimum Requirements)
- MLT - Must be a graduate with an Associates Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (Must be able to obtain certification within one year of hire).
- Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.

- Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding correspondence.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Requires manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination and analytical skills.
Compensation
- Starting wage and dependent upon experience;
- Perform analytical tests in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Immunology, Immunohematology, Urinalysis, and Microbiology.
- Collect and prepare specimens.
- Performs and records all quality control procedures required for the tests assayed.
- Performs and records routine instrument checks and maintenance procedures.
- Completes other duties as assigned.

- Position Information: To perform all of the repetitive (high volume) tests in a modern clinical laboratory, identifying direct causes (technical or instrumental) of problems and making corrections by using preset strategies, as well as using and monitoring quality control procedures in the laboratory within predetermined parameters.
