About the role

Performs preventative maintenance on City of Orlando ATV's, side by sides, tractors, mowers, small engines, and equipment.
Performs a variety of tasks requiring specialized knowledge and skills.

Valid Florida Driver's License required.
Must be able to read and interpret plans and technical bulletins.
Must satisfactorily complete two (2) ASE Block Tests or meet all passing requirements for four (4) required academic titles from the mechanical listing.
Must complete 6,075 hours of on-the-job training, subject to verification by the "Review Board." Must be able to read and interpret plans and technical bulletins.
Valid Florida Driver's License is required.
If this posting indicates a degree is required, the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:
Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree
Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelor's degree
Six (6) years of direct experience for a master's degree

$21.10 - $26.90
Performs skilled mechanical work analyzing and diagnosing problems.
Inspects, replaces, and/or repairs defective parts.
Assigns and oversees work and training of lower-level mechanics.
Work is performed under general supervision and is reviewed while in progress and upon completion for accuracy and completeness.
