Responsibilities
- Instructional Coaching and Support:
- Provide coaching and support to CTE teachers across programs of study, with a focus on instructional planning, content delivery, industry-based certification preparation, and dual credit course implementation.
- Offer meetings, planning sessions, and classroom-based support to ensure strong alignment between curriculum, TEKS, college partner expectations, and industry standards.
- Model instructional strategies and deliver sample lessons to build teacher capacity.
- Provide feedback on lesson plans, unit designs, and assessments to support high-quality instruction in both traditional and dual credit CTE courses.
- Collaborate with teachers, regional academic teams, and college partners to refine and align CTE curriculum to TEKS, industry-based certification standards, dual credit expectations, and college and career readiness outcomes.
- Ensure curricular resources reflect current industry practices, support rigorous skill development, and promote career exploration.
- Design and facilitate high-impact professional development for CTE teachers focused on best practices in instructional planning, technical skill development, dual credit instruction, and student engagement.
- Provide training and support on integrating CTSOs, career connections, cross-curricular content, instructional technology, and dual credit expectations into CTE classrooms.
- Collaborate with high school campuses and college partners to support planning, scheduling, implementation, and continuous improvement of dual credit CTE programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Knowledge of federal career clusters, Texas programs of study, and CTE dual credit requirements
- Knowledge of content standards and assessments
