About the role

  • The Packaging Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining packaging machinery to ensure efficient production of McKee Foods products.
  • The operator will set up machines, monitor packaging processes, and troubleshoot any issues to ensure product quality and adherence to safety standards.
  • This role involves working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment and requires close attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety efficiency.

Requirements

  • Ability to work effectively with others
  • Ability to frequently lift and move 50 lbs.
  • Ability to determine cause and effect
  • Ability to learn basic computer skills

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of McKee Foods Corporation and OSHA safety regulations
  • General mechanical aptitude
  • Knowledge of OPM software systems or PC experience
  • Sets up and operates packaging and related equipment
  • Ensures that product is properly wrapped and packaged while maintaining quality standards and product flow
  • Conducts startups, shutdowns, and changeovers as needed
  • Enters measurement data and report information into the computer system accurately, analyzing information, maintaining equipment (preventative maintenance), keeping work areas clean and equipment clean
  • Communicate with other shifts regarding the job
