About the role
- Conduct Occupational Therapy assessments within the community.
- Complete moving and handling assessments and provide specialist recommendations.
- Recommend and coordinate minor and major adaptations.
Responsibilities
- This is an excellent opportunity for an Occupational Therapist with strong experience in equipment provision, moving and handling assessments, and adaptations who is passionate about helping people maintain their independence and quality of life.
- Assess and prescribe equipment to support independence and safety.
- Maintain accurate records and ensure timely completion of assessments and interventions.
- Working within a busy community-based team, you will undertake assessments and provide practical solutions that enable individuals to live safely and independently within their own homes.
- With this information, we will provide appropriate support to you throughout the process and into your work placement.
Requirements
- Experience working as a Progressed or Senior Occupational Therapist
- Strong knowledge of moving and handling practices
- Experience with minor and major adaptations
- Occupational Therapy qualification and HCPC registration
- Equipment assessment and provision experience
- Excellent assessment, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload effectively
