Responsibilities
- Real work: Over the course of your internship, you'll be assigned real business problems that challenge your analytical and technical skills while helping you build industry knowledge.
- Develop prospect benchmarking metrics by aggregating historical pharmacy and clinical data, defining benchmark metrics across client segments, and calculating measures of variation to support prospect evaluations and finalist discussions.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with different teams to support the analytics department in delivering high-quality insights and solutions.
- Participate in hands-on projects that will directly impact the business and help drive strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Rising junior or senior working towards a bachelor's degree.
- Prior experience with SQL is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and an ability to think analytically.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Schedule: You must be available to work 40 hours/week for 10 weeks beginning May 24, 2027.
- If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- with comfortability using Webex and other virtual tools to connect with colleagues.
- A self-starter who is eager to learn, acquire new skills, and take on challenges in a fast-paced environment.

- Work Authorization: One goal of this internship program is to prepare and identify qualified candidates for roles with Cigna post-graduation. Therefore, this temporary internship is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa support including H-1B, CPT/OPT/STEM, etc., now or in the future.
- Schedule: You must be available to work 40 hours/week for 10 weeks beginning May 24, 2027. Working hours are Monday - Friday.
- Compensation: For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate between $26.00 and $28.00 an hour depending on relevant factors, including major and year of study.
Nice to have
- Preferred majors include Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, Informatics, Statistics, Management Information Systems, or any related quantitative field.
- Exposure to AWS, Python, or R is a plus.
Compensation
- For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate between $26.00 and $28.00 an hour depending on relevant factors, including major and year of study.
