Responsibilities
- Lead technical design: Plan and design water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump stations, and collection/distribution systems from concept through construction.
- Provide input to improve design standards that produce consistent, high-quality deliverables.
- Direct project teams: Oversee technical tasks and deliverables, ensuring technical accuracy and design quality across assigned projects.
- Collaborate with clients: Work closely with municipalities, utilities, and private developers to deliver innovative sustainable solutions.
- Extensive experience developing conceptual and detailed plans and specifications, including hydraulic analyses, plant layouts, equipment review/selection, and collection system design.
- Serve as a technical leader: Apply sound judgment and creativity to plan, organize, and guide complex projects; Provide input to improve design standards that produce consistent, high-quality deliverables.

Requirements
- Professional Engineer (PE) with 20+ years of progressive water/wastewater engineering experience, including leading the technical delivery of public and/or private conveyance, and treatment facility projects.
- Prior experience with process evaluations, cost estimating, and construction administration.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcMap, SWMM, AFT Fathom, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, WaterCAD, and/or Revit.
Nice to have
- Ability to travel up to 15% (including occasional overnight travel).
- Masters degree with an emphasis on water and wastewater treatment.
- Experience with conceptual and facility planning, permitting, and coordination with regulators.
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate client and stakeholder relations and to secure public and private project opportunities - within the Twin Cities metro, across greater Minnesota, and throughout the upper Midwest
