Responsible for the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of all ship engineering systems.

We manage two trawl catcher-processor vessels that operate in the Bering Sea and off the coast of Washington and Oregon.

Must be able to provide 2 recent positive references from previous employers
Responsible for accuracy of various required engineering logs. (i.e. fuel, discharge, chlorine).
Required Training

Provides leadership and technical expertise to engineering staff and upholds all vessel, company and required safety regulations with regards to vessel and equipment.

Performing and logging scheduled leak checks on all refrigeration equipment.
Startup & shut down of all propulsion related engines & equipment
both normal & Emergency procedures.
System specific electrical knowledge for trouble shooting of control systems and power generation systems.
Knowledge of common basic electrical control circuits, PLCs, analog sensors and IO structure.
Effectively coordinates with all vessel department heads to ensure safe, efficient operation of the vessel both at sea and in port and conducts weekly safety inspections with leadership team.
Conducts job observations and written performance reviews on assigned crewmembers to ensure standardized training requirements are met
provides recommendations and feedback on performance.
