- Job Description Join Allstate's Litigation Services team as a Paralegal Specialist, where your contributions will be essential to delivering strong legal outcomes and exceptional service to our clients.
- This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work closely with experienced attorneys on insurance defense matters, including bodily injury and third-party liability claims.
Responsibilities
- Manage litigation files from inception through resolution, including trial, arbitration, and mediation preparation.
- Draft, review, file, and serve pleadings, motions, and other litigation documents for attorney review and approval.
- Prepare and manage written discovery, including drafting discovery requests and responses and coordinating document production.
- Prepare exhibits, case summaries, witness files, and other materials in support of hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and trials.
- Handle electronic filing and service of legal documents in accordance with applicable court rules and procedures.
- Maintain organized litigation files, including claim files, discovery materials, expert records, and case documentation.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with attorneys, clients, expert witnesses, vendors, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders to support case progression.
- Partner closely with internal stakeholders and business units, strengthening relationships and delivering proactive legal support.
Requirements

- The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
- When working from home, you must have a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions, along with appropriate desk and seating.
Nice to have
- Monitor case deadlines, court requirements, and litigation calendars to ensure timely and compliant case management.
- Must meet all applicable paralegal certification, registration, or licensure requirements as defined by Maryland state.
- 3+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably in insurance defense, bodily injury, or civil litigation.
- Experience supporting litigation involving bodily injury and/or third-party liability.
- Strong understanding of legal procedures, including pleadings, discovery, motions, court filings, and trial preparation.
- Familiarity with Maryland litigation practices and electronic court filing systems is strongly preferred
- Experience coordinating expert witnesses, depositions, and other litigation-related activities.
- Experience managing high-volume caseloads in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
- Compensation offered for this role is 28.03 - 42.99 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
