Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all month-end close activities, including timely preparation and review of journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Research accounting pronouncements and develop company policies for new, changing, or existing business transactions.
- Manage and develop the finance team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to help team members grow and achieve their goals.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and other service providers.
- Collaborate with other departments to identify and address accounting-related issues or opportunities to standardize and streamline processes.
- Support the budgeting and forecasting processes, including the development of financial models, analysis of key financial metrics, and preparation of financial statements.
- Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and forecast and provide insights and recommendations to drive business decisions.
- Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in the finance and accounting function.

Requirements
- Additional in office time may be required to support team/project needs.
- You must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related field or equivalent years of experience required
- Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, with a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role.
- Public accounting experience required.
- Proven track record of managing month-end close processes, financial reporting, and budgeting and forecasting activities.
Skills
- Strong technical accounting skills with experience implementing accounting standards.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement and process optimization.
- Positive attitude with strong work ethic and high level of integrity.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
