About the role
- Fabricates wooden crates or boxes using woodworking hand tools and powered tools, and packs various items including large and/or odd shaped products.
- Responsible for loading and unloading trucks using overhead crane, forklift, and/or pallet jack.
Requirements
- Must be able to go up and down stairs.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- Must have physical stamina to stand, stoop, bend, squat and kneel eight (8) or more hours per day.
- Must be able to frequently lift 50lbs or more.
- Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial equipment manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment as required.
- Must be willing to work overtime as needed.
- Must be able to work under stress.
- Must be able to handle multiple priorities.
- Must be able to process paperwork effectively.
- Must possess sufficient interpersonal skills to interact effectively with persons inside and outside of the company.
Nice to have
- Previous crating experience is a plus
- Experience measuring, cutting and assembling large items made of wood
- MS Office experience is a plus
- Experience tracking and processing shipments is a plus
