- Position Impact: The CDL Underground (UG) Laborer plays a vital role in the construction, maintenance, and operation of underground telecommunications infrastructure as directed by the Foreman and/or Supervisor.
- Your responsibilities include hands-on work in excavation, cable installation, equipment operation, and ensuring a safe and organized work environment.
- Safety consciousness, adherence to industry regulations, and effective communication are essential in this role.
- Your contributions are integral to expanding and maintaining the telecommunications network, enabling the seamless flow of information and connectivity.
- Qualifications and Experience: Eligibility for US Employment without sponsorship Minimum of 18 years of age A valid California driver's license, subject to successful verification through a DMV check, is mandatory Possession of a valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and medical card in good standing required Proficiency in operating a variety of utility trucks and equipment safely and effectively Skilled in handling tools and equipment securely and efficiently Consistent and punctual attendance is crucial for this role Minimum of six months of experience in the telecommunication sector Ability to read blueprints and interpret utility maps to identify the type and size of underground utilities Ability to travel to multiple work sites, work overtime, weekends, holidays, or off hours as needed The ability to effectively communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and comprehension, as necessary for effective job performance and workplace communication Proficiency in Spanish Language a plus
