About the role

  • Prior experience as a Controller or Assistant Controller, preferably at a SaaS company
  • Hands-on M&A experience, specifically purchase accounting (ASC 805)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge across ASC 606, ASC 718, ASC 350, multi-entity consolidations, and international accounting

Responsibilities

  • We're scaling fast, navigating M&A activity, and building toward significant financial milestones.
  • The accounting function needs to keep pace - and that means bringing in a Controller who can own it.
  • Most Controller roles ask you to maintain the books.
  • This one asks you to build something.
  • With ongoing M&A activity, an external audit to lead, international expansion in the picture, and a cross-functional leadership team that genuinely wants a seat at the table for Finance - the scope here is real and it grows with you.
  • Own the monthly close process end-to-end - identify opportunities to make it faster and more accurate, then execute on them
  • Manage multi-entity consolidations, multi-currency accounting, and international statutory compliance across a footprint that continues to grow through acquisition
  • Build and strengthen internal controls, systems, and processes that scale with the company's growth - and position us well for future audit and financing events
  • Drive cross-functional partnership with FP&A, RevOps, Legal, and functional leadership - translating complex accounting topics into clear financial insights that inform real decisions
  • Develop and grow the accounting team, building toward the scale and structure the business needs

Requirements

  • You have experience integrating financial systems and collaborating closely with FP&A on planning and reporting

Nice to have

  • 6-10 years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful time in public accounting - Big 4 or large regional firm strongly preferred
  • ERP proficiency, Intacct experience strongly preferred
