About the role
- This role involves preparing engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring compliance with municipal and provincial standards.
- Participate in client and project meetings, providing valuable input and insights.
- Contribute to the growth of the Electrical department through the review and development of standards and templates.
Responsibilities
- Electrical Traffic Signal Designer is responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of traffic signal.
- Design and implementation of electrical systems for Infrastructure projects, including Traffic signal.
- Develop and maintain design documentation, specifications, and reports in accordance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with civil engineers, and other multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into larger projects.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and design teams.
- 3-5+ years of progressive experience in traffic signal, roadway and electrical design

Requirements
- Bachelor degree on Electrical Engineering, Civil engineering or College diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology
- Strong working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code (CEC) and applicable transportation standards (OTM BOOK 12, OPSD, OPSS)
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Civil 3D softwares used for infrastructure projects.

Skills
- Knowledge of sustainability initiatives and energy-efficient design practices.
- Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation in good standing with a Canadian engineering regulator
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with both internal teams and external clients.
