About the role

  • Our Software Engineers work in an agile, collective environment.
  • Essential Functions: - Ability to work on a computer for extended periods. - Hand/finger dexterity for coding and testing. - Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and testing of complex software components.
  • Write and maintain detailed code documentation.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure code quality and adherence to standards.
  • Support the integration of software with hardware systems.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance software performance and quality.
  • This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 6+ years of experience in experience in software development.
  • Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java.
  • Practical knowledge of engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Experience with Linux (RHEL) and windows services
  • Knowledge of tactical/moving map software integration
  • Knowledge with hardware integration and protocol development
  • Experience with software tools for requirements tracking, code reviews, static analysis, library and artifact repository, and automated build.
  • Background in Aerospace and Defense industry.
  • Understanding of industry standard software languages and frameworks such as C#, C++, Java, Python, Java Script/Typescript, React, WPF, and.NET
  • Experienced with data structures.
  • Ability to work on a computer for extended periods.
  • Hand/finger dexterity for coding and testing.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with occasional travel.

Compensation

  • $108,496.89 - $149,183.22.
  • Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors, such as candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
