About the role
- JAS is an international, non-asset-based supply chain services and solutions company.
- The Air Export HUB Specialist is responsible for managing and coordinating air export shipments within a HUB/gateway environment.
- This role ensures the efficient movement of freight by consolidating shipments, optimizing routing, and ensuring compliance with international regulations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that file contains all necessary documents and copies are in proper sequence.
- Perform other duties as needed or requested.
- Manage/update carrier/vendor rates. Obtain spot rates when necessary.
Requirements
- The ideal candidate has experience working in a Gateway or HUB Operation.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
- More specifically, the incumbent may be required to perform additional and/or different responsibilities from those set forth above.

- Minimum 2-5 years' experience handling freight forwarding shipments or a combination of education and expertise required.
- Experience in freight forwarding industry is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Detail oriented, able to multitask and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
- Able to perform the essential duties of this position without posing a "direct threat" to the health or safety of self or others.
- Able to interact positively and effectively with co-workers, subordinates and supervisors.
Nice to have
- Cargowise (C1) experience is a plus.
- Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.
- Additional languages are a plus.
- Geographical knowledge is preferred.
- 100% performed in climate-controlled internal office environment working under normal office conditions.
- Travel will be (up to__ %) required in support of the position's responsibilities.
