  • Eastern College Location: Onsite, 6940 Mumford Road, Halifax, NS B3L 0B7 Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 12:00 pm Start Date: December 07, 2026 End Date: August 07, 2027 The Opportunity: The primary responsibilities of this position are to provide quality delivery of assigned Medical Office Administration courses utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques, and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment.
  • What you'll be doing: Deliver high-quality classroom instruction, using a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles.
  • Offer guidance and mentorship to students.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices.
  • Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
  • Ensure compliance with College policies and regulations.
  • Offer academic and career counseling to students, providing guidance on academic progress, study techniques, and career opportunities.
  • OR a diploma in a related field plus 2 years of direct field experience OR a degree in a related field plus 1 year of direct field experience Experience with billing in Nova Scotia clinics Experience in a hospital clinic or reception role Experience in a medical clinic or office environment HICA certification Adult education/teaching experience (preferred) Must meet the minimum qualifications outlined in the Private Career Colleges Act of Nova Scotia This position is for an existing vacancy.
