About the role
- Assist in the integration and testing of computer vision software to ensure robustness and performance in real-world scenarios.
- Stay updated on advancements in robot planning algorithms and technologies, and contribute fresh ideas and insights to the team.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software development best practices to ensure high-quality code, efficient testing, and timely releases.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure that our software integrates seamlessly with other software products.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to understand project requirements and contribute to the development of software solutions for robot task and motion planning.
- Document your work, including code, algorithms, user manuals, and procedures, to support knowledge sharing and future development efforts.
- Design, implement, and optimize algorithms within our planning framework, leveraging your programming skills and understanding of robotics principles.
Requirements
- Ability to lawfully access information and technology that is subject to US export controls
- Bachelor's in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field with 5+ years of professional experience.
- Expertise with search algorithms, optimization methods, and constraint satisfaction.
- Experience with open source robotic planning and manipulation software packages such as MoveIt and ROS.
- Knowledge of unit-testing, CI/CD pipelines, and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Nice to have
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Robotics, or related field with 3+ years of professional experience.
- Experience using programming languages such as C#, TypeScript.
- Explored using Generative AI in robotics.
- Strong publication record and/or open source contributions in the field of robotics.
