Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans under the close, ongoing supervision of the BCBA.
  • Maintain all standard RBT responsibilities and ethical obligations in accordance with the BACB Ethics Code.
  • Conduct safety assessments and implements emergency protocols as needed.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching, modeling, and immediate feedback to RBTs to support implementation fidelity.
  • All clinical decision-making authority remains with the supervising BCBA; the Site Behavior Support Technician does not replace BCBA clinical responsibility or supervision requirements.
  • RBT Team Support and Mentorship
  • Site Operations Support
  • Support continuity of care during BCBA transitions or absences.

Requirements

  • Current, active RBT certification, required.
  • Certification must be maintained with no lapses in credentials.
  • All RBT certification supervision must be provided by a qualified BCBA.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to accurately communicate information and ideas so others will understand through sight and hearing.
  • The employee is regularly required to move including walking, running, jumping, and sitting.
  • The employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle, lift, reach, and feel.
  • The employee is frequently required to stand and stoop, twist, bend, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
