Requirements
- If you have veterinary experience and would like to be considered for an opportunity to work in a busy specialty and emergency hospital and learn how to become a technician, we want to hear from you!
- At least 1 year of veterinary experience is required
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to work well in a highly collaborative environment
- Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.
- Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.
Skills
- Provide support to doctors and technicians
- Restrain patients for exams and procedures
- Obtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testing
- Monitor and document patient's vital signs
- Assist with obtaining radiographs
- Properly use and maintain hospital equipment
- Perform medical math calculations
- Provide high level nursing care to all patients
- Administer medications
- Place IVCs and obtain blood samples from various access points
