About the role

  • Using engineering knowledge, works with significant oversight by management and/or more senior engineers to link cross functional groups to solve complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Perform time studies and design tooling.
  • develop feedback with Manufacturing Engineering and train end user's application and use.
  • Develop best practices utilizing Lean Six Sigma tools laying out production lines from material receipt to shipment.
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering in bottleneck reduction by conducting lead time studies, prioritize actions and participate in the solution. Validate that the solution achieved the desired results.
  • Engineering data gathering, including statistics, design of experiments, risk analysis and database analysis
  • Coordinate programing of the dashboard with Information Technologies; develop feedback with Manufacturing Engineering and train end user's application and use.

  • B.S in Industrial Engineering or Systems Engineering degree required
  • Georgia candidates preferred.
  • 1 year of relevant engineering experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment

Skills

  • Big picture data analysis, communication and statistics skills
  • Knowledge of manufacturing flow, Six Sigma and capacity planning
  • Familiarity with computer systems and basic programing logic
