About the role

  • Conduct thorough inspections (in-process and final) on propulsion components, large structures and mechanical assemblies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of quality initiatives within the organization
  • Take closeout photos of large integrated assemblies upon completion of final walkdowns

Responsibilities

  • Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity.

  • Whether you're in propulsion, manufacturing, software, avionics, or a corporate function, you'll collaborate across teams, shape decisions, and see your work come to life in record time.
  • The Reliability team at Relativity Space ensures quality is built into every stage of the Terran R design and production process, embedding reliability from the very beginning.
  • The team works directly with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to stay close to the hardware, understand constraints, and proactively shape decisions.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead projects, or influence quality improvement efforts without formal authority

Requirements

  • 5+ years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, supporting production hardware
  • Expert proficiency with precision hand tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gages)

  • This is a weekend-shift position with a standard schedule of Friday through Monday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT, including 8 guaranteed overtime hours each week.
