About the role

Conduct thorough inspections (in-process and final) on propulsion components, large structures and mechanical assemblies
Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to the development and implementation of quality initiatives within the organization
Take closeout photos of large integrated assemblies upon completion of final walkdowns

Our Terran R vehicle will deliver customer payloads to orbit, meeting the growing demand for launch capacity.

The Reliability team at Relativity Space ensures quality is built into every stage of the Terran R design and production process, embedding reliability from the very beginning.
The team works directly with design, manufacturing, test, and launch teams to stay close to the hardware, understand constraints, and proactively shape decisions.
Demonstrated ability to take initiative, lead projects, or influence quality improvement efforts without formal authority

5+ years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment, supporting production hardware
Expert proficiency with precision hand tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gages)

The team plays a key role in balancing risk, fostering a culture of ownership, and making sure speed never comes at the cost of reliability.

This is a weekend-shift position with a standard schedule of Friday through Monday, 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. PT, including 8 guaranteed overtime hours each week.
In addition to base pay, employees receive a 10% shift differential.
