About the role

- Sompo has a unique opportunity for an Underwriter, Commercial Management Liability as part of our CML team.
- We work through a network of Retail & Wholesale brokers who share our commitment to long-term partnerships built on a strong service proposition.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining & enhancing existing broker relationships, as well as identifying and developing new relationships within the Mid-Atlantic region with both retail and wholesale partners.
- Developing and executing marketing plans aimed at retaining existing business and producing new opportunities that fit within the CML division risk appetite.
- Interacting, communicating and negotiating with all levels of external and/or internal business partners.
- Ability to build and foster relationships with brokerage contacts within the Chicago Region Wholesale Network.

Requirements
- Ability to travel approximate 10% of the time
Nice to have
- 1-3 years in the financial sector and/or Underwriting & Insurance experience preferred

Compensation
- $80,000 - $125,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
