- Introduction GlobalFoundries is seeking a motivated Tapeout Systems/Tapeout Operations Engineer to join its Global Tapeout and Mask Organization in Dresden, Germany.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to the design and development of next‑generation Tapeout Systems that convert physical designs into photomask data.
- Support daily Tapeout Operations activities, including DRC checks, data preparation, and coordination of work across global teams.
- Collaborate with teams across Global Tapeout Operations to identify opportunities for workflow improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and shorten cycle times.
- Help create and maintain documentation, best practices, and training materials to support consistent execution of Tapeout Operations.
- Support process documentation efforts, including identifying potential failure modes and contributing to mitigation and detection strategies.
Requirements
- Master or Bachelor degree in electrical engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Chemistry or related field of study
- First experience with scripting languages (TCL, Python, Perl Shell)
Nice to have
- Knowledge of the Photo Mask Making process
- Experience in Structured Problem Solving (SPS)
- Technical Program Management skills
Compensation
