About the role

  • You will share toward the team's impact on all aspects of structures, mechanical, and fluid systems.

Responsibilities

  • Applies engineering techniques to design, install, modify, analyze, repair structural, mechanical, and fluid systems hardware.
  • Release, and support of engineering artifacts across the product life cycle to support hardware fabrication, assembly, verification, test and operations.
  • Implements' operating procedures, resolves system malfunctions, and provides technical information.
  • Specifies system components or directs modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications.
  • Lead Root Cause and Corrective action investigations into hardware failures to facilitate smooth production operations across the launch vehicle.

  • We're working to develop reusable, safe, and low-cost space vehicles and systems within a culture of safety, collaboration, and inclusion.
  • Its first stage is fully reusable, and the vehicle was designed from the beginning to be human-capable.
  • This role supports the production and upgrades of New Glenn, a single-configuration heavy-lift launch vehicle capable of carrying payloads to Earth's orbit and beyond.
  • Engineered with a reusable first stage and a seven-meter payload fairing, New Glenn is building the road to space.

Requirements

  • B.S. degree or higher in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering Recent experience managing aerospace or equivalent type mechanical systems elements within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
  • Export Control Regulations Applicants for employment at Blue Origin must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e. current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Nice to have

  • 2-4 years of recent experience managing aerospace or equivalent type mechanical systems elements within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles.
  • 2+ years direct project management experience
  • including schedule, cost, risk, performance, change and configuration management, and supplier relations

Compensation

  • Range for: WA applicants is $99,201.00 - $138,880.35 Other site ranges may differ Culture Statement Don't meet all desired requirements?
  • Stock Options for all regular employees (working at least 20 hours/week) Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.
