About the role
- As a Risk Data Scientist at Found, you will be a key player in our Risk team, responsible for identifying, mitigating, and managing financial and operational risks across our product offerings.
- At Found, you won't just answer "what happened", you'll be responsible for pointing the way and rallying others around what we should do next.
- We are looking for a highly motivated and data-driven individual who is passionate about creating a robust and efficient risk management framework in a fast-paced fintech environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide valuable insights and recommendations to leadership on risk trends, policy improvements, and long-term risk strategy to support Found's growth and expansion.
- Proactively identify areas for improvement in existing risk management processes and workflows, and drive initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
- You will work closely with our Engineering, Data Science, Product, and Operations teams to build scalable risk controls and ensure a seamless, secure experience for our users.
- Contribute to Strategic Planning: Provide valuable insights and recommendations to leadership on risk trends, policy improvements, and long-term risk strategy to support Found's growth and expansion.
- Optimize Processes: Proactively identify areas for improvement in existing risk management processes and workflows, and drive initiatives to increase efficiency and scalability.
Requirements
- Partner with product, engineering and data science teams to design, build, and deploy automated risk controls and decisioning systems that balance user experience with platform safety.
- To thrive in this role, you have:
- You have experience with SQL, Python, and other analytical software.
- Strong communication skills, the ability to clearly and concisely articulate complex risk issues and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences

- Prior experience in risk with a fintech or financial services risk role.
