About the role
- Overview The Macro P ortfolio Strategist will play a central role in the Citi Wealth CIO team.
- This role is focused on delivering differentiated, actionable insights across asset classes, connecting macroeconomic and thematic developments to portfolio construction and client outcomes.
- Translate economic and market research into actionable portfolio implications, including asset allocation tilts, sector positioning, and thematic exposures.
Responsibilities
- Develop high-conviction investment insights across equities, fixed income, alternatives, and multi-asset portfolios, integrating macroeconomic, market, and thematic perspectives.
- Partner with the Head of Portfolio Strategy to refine and implement portfolio construction and risk management processes that drive consistent long-term performance relative to benchmarks.
- Collaborate with research teams across the firm to leverage global insights, ensuring scalability and consistency of research processes.
- Support the development of thematic and tactical portfolio ideas that can be implemented at both institutional and client levels.
- Demonstrated ability to develop original investment views and translate research into actionable portfolio decisions.
- Proven ability to collaborate across investment, research, capital markets, product, and client facing teams.
- The strategist will be responsible for developing investment views, producing portfolio recommendations, and enhancing the rigor of the team's allocation, research, and risk management frameworks.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics, corporate fundamentals, valuation, capital markets, market structure, and cross asset relationships.

- Bachelor degree is required Preferred Characteristics: Intellectual curiosity and a willingness to challenge consensus views through rigorous, evidence-based analysis.

Compensation
- $192,000.00 - $288,000.00 In addition to salary, Citi's offerings may also include, for eligible employees, discretionary and formulaic incentive and retention awards.
