Responsibilities
- independently writes comments and testimony and develops exhibits, work papers and/or other documentation for regulatory proceedings
- leads other analysts and provides management with technical expertise, analyses and recommended approaches in specialty area or on more complex issues
- provides support and consultation to other departments and senior management to ensure that regulatory concepts, constraints and opportunities are understood and considered
- Regulatory Strategy Contributes to the development of regulatory strategy; provides support and consultation to other departments and senior management to ensure that regulatory concepts, constraints and opportunities are understood and considered; conducts economic analysis and testimony drafting, including work papers; may serve as a company witness
Requirements
- Uses best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve products or services.
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, economics, business or related field or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of business, engineering and/or economics, financial modeling and ratemaking principles.
- Advanced knowledge of financial and utility industry regulation.
- Intermediate knowledge of electrical distribution, transmission and generation facilities.
- Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise.
