About the role
- Oversees Accounting department and audit functions.
- Works with other department heads to monitor each department and make recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Document controls and begin the SOX compliance process.
Requirements
- Strong understanding of control environment and best practices.
- Strong understanding of consolidation accounting and general ledger reporting.
- Required Years of Work Experience: 12+
- College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Master's degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance.
- Excellent management and supervisory skills.
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Strong decision making and problem-solving skills.
- Honesty and Integrity are critical.
- Strong leadership skills.
- Proficient in database and accounting computer application systems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Education Requirements/Additional Preferences:
- Education/Experience: Master's degree in business administration, Accounting, or Finance. College degree or equivalent work experience.
- Additional Preferences: Financial Services industry experience
Nice to have
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
- Licenses/Certifications: Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
